Under Federal regulations, enrollment in individual plans is limited to a defined annual open enrollment period. Open Enrollment is now closed.
The law also permits enrollment outside of the open enrollment period under certain circumstances, such as, the loss of prior health insurance coverage. This period of time, called the Special Enrollment Period has specific rules and required documentation.
